This paper examines various approachs towards the understanding of child labour debate. The Economists, Political Scientists, Child Psychologists, Educationists, Child Sociologists, Child Right Activists, etc have taken up this issue from their respective pperspectives which depict children as victim and exploited; as dependent and need to be developed; recipients of socialization process; persons of their own rights and responsibilities; etc. The latest debate of globalization also tries to see its impact on phenomenon of child labour in developing economies. In this present backdrop the paper evaluates that how far globalization influences the child labour and what are the new forms of child labour in India.
