Abstract

This is an exploratory study that focuses on the application of new media in the changing culture. Culture in one short sentence is a way of life. It embraces the whole complex of unique spiritual, intellectual and emotional structures that portray society, our thought about life, and our ideas, and our civilisation. Culture shape the way we understand world, it has ability to bring about the transformation of attitudes required to ensure peace and sustainable development. This paper tries to study the role ofmedia and its effects on culture. The influence ofmedia in realigning cultural equations in our society tends to have various implications. Today media has attained a very crucial place in society and is considered of utmost importance in the overall cultural, moral, economic and social fabrication of any nation. From Cradle to grave, from morning to night, we are bombarded with messages.
