Poetry analysis is a common task that is performed in English classrooms at schools and universities across the globe. Although analysing poetry isn't an easy task because of varied opinions as a result of cultural identity and language barrier differences, it can be enjoyable by getting to understand the world and what people think about certain aspects that plague us. In this article, an unstructured poem titled "The Death ofa Child like a Beggar" (2002 © R. Singh) is analysed as a means to serve as an exemplar for scholars or others wanting to understand the technique and knowledge ofpoetry analysis.
