BMI and Anaemia are the two important indicators of nutritional status of a population. Children from rural population with lower socio-economic status are expected to be more affected. So, in the present study an attempt is made to assess the status of anaemia and abnormal BMI and to understand the relation between BMI and Anaemia, if any.
In the present study, 92 individuals belonging to Dangi population of Udaipur, Rajasthan, in the age group 10–20 years were recruited. Height and weight were taken using anthropometric instruments and Haemoglobin content was measured using haemoglobinometer and fingerprick method.
