Abstract

“Vishwa Darshan” as a concept is abundantly known among the scholars of Hindu Scriptures. It means perception or hallucination of overt things in life and at the same time it also means true knowledge and truth of life. When in Srimad Bhagwat Gita, Lord Shri Krishna signified “Vishwa Darshan” to Arjun, he presented Arjun with true knowledge of the world and the truth of life. In the same way, in the modern world and with reference to the democracy, government and laws in India, the concept of “Vishwa Darshan” can be compared to the Right of Information Act, 2005 and various provisions of Intellectual Property Laws. While the former provides information to the masses or at least to those who seek them of the internal workings and mode of operation of various Government bodies and departments, the latter provides information to the general masses of the issues relating to or protected by the various Intellectual Property Laws. In the present Research Report, the author is comparing the muse of “Vishwa Darshan” as was introduced by Lord Shri Krishna in Srimad Bhagwat Gita with the concept of Right to Information Act, 2005 and Intellectual Property Rights Laws.
