The study investigates the challenges faced by the Christian family in the modern world today and how it can address these challenges. Modernization brought changes in society and among the institutions affected by this process is the family. The study explores briefly what were the primary changes that family had undergone and how these changes resulted to different challenging conditions resulting to negative impacts particularly to the Christian family. To mention, are the following: (1) sexual permissiveness (2) contraception and abortion (3) alternative families (4) domestic violence (5) media. It is from these challenges, that author as a conclusion suggests how Christian families can address these challenges by exercising their role and mission both in the Church and in society.
