The One Carbon Metabolic Pathway can be defined as the “atlas of human biology” in which elevations in the level of the critical metabolite that is homocysteine levels, a type of a pro-inflammatory molecule of the pathway can act as an indicator for an array of complex disorders ranging from adverse pregnancy outcomes like recurrent pregnancy loss, preeclampsia, preterm birth to cardiovascular diseases like stroke, ischemic heart diseases etc and also various other complex disorders like cancer, neural tube defects and Down Syndrome
