Ethnomedicine encompasses the ethnic belief, practices, and traditional knowledge towards prevention and diagnosis of various diseases. The present study was conducted among the Sonowal Kachari from Chelajan Kachari and Koroiguri Kachari village of Lakhimpur district of Assam. Here, an attempt has been made to show a glimpse of uses of ethnomedicinal plants among the Sonowal Kachari of Lakhimpur district, Assam. For data collection the observation, interview, and intensive case stud methods were used. Information regarding the uses of ethnomedicinal plants, part used, methods of preparation was recorded. A total of 24 species of medicinal plants belonging to 22 families were recorded. The leaves are found to be the most frequently used plant part for medicine preparation.
