Building A Construct of Buddhist Leadership Having Nationalist Characters

Abstract

Leadership in Buddhism is constructed through the Tripitaka Scriptures. For example, an illustration of Sidharta Gautama of the same time shows that there are models which are stated in Buddhism. This research uses research development and evaluation, which results in a form of the construct of Buddhist leadership that has nationalist character. Based on the experiments carried out, it results similar conclusions that leadership constructs in Buddhism with nationalist characteristics can be arranged with 17 indicators and 10 components or constructs. The condition of the results of this quantitative analysis corresponds to existing theories, both in general theory and the opinions of the Tipitaka, which in broad outline, the components of leadership which are characterized nationalist are constructed by good morality. This shows that the leadership constructs in Buddhism can be compiled through constructs of morality which are described in 10 components or leadership constructs that have 17 indicators, the overall composition of leadership in Buddhism is in accordance with the principles of nationalism in Indonesia. This means that the leadership of Buddhism corresponds to Nationalism in Indonesia, with a description in accordance with the teachings of the Buddha.
