Choosing a research method for conducting a research is one of the critical decisions because the wrong choice of method can alter the outcome and results of the research making it irrelevant in most situations. This work is an attempt to make budding and new researchers understand the use of case study as a research methodology and the way case study is conducted. The work focuses on discussing relevant examples from journals, books and magazines which have chosen case study as a methodology and have obtained desired results. The work also talks about different methods through which case study is being conducted, data is collected and analysed. This is a secondary literature based work and is done for the purpose of popularizing case studies as a research methodology.
