Abstract

This paper articulates the development of economic relations and associations between African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries and the European Union (EU) within the context of a series of negotiating platforms instituted for the purpose. The first section discusses the history of ACP countries’ negotiations for development cooperation with the advanced economies, while the second examines the impact of regionalisation on this quest. The third section projects the implications of a post-globalisation order for the development of ACP countries’ and their agreements and partnerships with the EU.
