This article focuses on the problems of global transformations in the contemporary world. It is not limited to an analysis of raw finances and human flows researched by a number of specialists, but rather raises important questions of world economic and political evolution and regards them in the light of the coming revolution in global supply chains and logistics. Recent reorientations of world finances and migration flows as well as global food balance transformations have led to international leadership shifting from the West to the East. “Post-industrialism” however, seems to be nothing more than a myth destined to ensure the global domination of the West and its ideological paradigms. Using statistical data, this paper shows the processes of rapid deindustrialisation in the West and the concentration of wealth and power in the East. In conclusion, it considers the potential consequences of the shift in world leadership and surmises that global military conflict appears probable. To escape it, new mega-regulations and regulators would be indispensable and a new system of values based on principles of harmonisation, conflict resolution and progress, could ensure a stable development of the world in the future.
