Contemporary dimensions of the India–Africa Economic relationship an Indian Perspective

In recent times, interaction in the economic sphere has emerged as a significant channel of collaboration and a primary factor for enhancing cooperation between India and Africa. The rise of African global markets and India's booming production have necessitated Indian diplomats and leaders to scrutinise the existing economic relationship between the two. India has engaged itself with most African countries in a bid to enhance its own strategic commercial interests on the continent as well as help developing and poor nations in their developmental efforts. Since independence, particularly in recent years, different dimensions have shaped India's relations in fulfilling its economic interests in Africa.
