Energy and the Environment the Challenges of Biofuels

After analysing the international scene, this paper examines the Brazilian approach to the field of biofuels and presents the history of and prospects for the sector. It also studies the role of diplomacy in promoting the former, based on bilateral, regional and global strategies. Finally, it discusses the main arguments against biofuels and Brazil's line of defence in this regard
