Mediterranean Security and Libya’s Political Instability: Dominate Powers versus Political Islam Revival

This survey of the situation on the Southern rim of the Mediterranean illustrates the crises that affect all of Europe by creating a security dilemma due to the massive migrations which strain public resources, reduce public safety and cause popular unrest. This article also describes the continuing instability and economic stagnation in much of North Africa.
