Democracies in the world are moving fast within a rapidly changing scenario, paving the way for the emergence of new perspectives in public administration so as to ensure a people-centric governance. The inbuilt flexibility and dynamism of modern democracies demand new roles for administrative officials. Further, constitutions are extending their mandates to meet the emerging challenges, thus helping citizens to maximise their potential. To this end, public administration is being revamped for achieving minimum government and maximum governance so as to fulfill the ideal of Good Governance.
