During the last three to four years, the Lighting Industry has seen a steady slowdown in keeping with the overall Indian economy. The Industry's fortunes may have slumped, but the potential continues to be optimistic. The growth figures of this Industry are still positive, and above the national averages. There is also a significant shift in the product portfolio with a larger emphasis on fluorescent lamps, luminaires and electronic lighting solutions, which are of high value, and energy effective.
