With the commissioning of India's largest standalone solar photovoltaic (SPV) power plant at Mousuni Island in West Bengal, Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), has achieved yet another feat in the area of harnessing RE. In addition to illuminating 700 homes across the Island, which were otherwise isolated from the West Bengal state electricity grid, the 105 kWp SPV project will also cater to the needs of potable drinking water of the villagers.
