Since 1964, massive amounts of suspended sediments have deposited at the Egyptian-Sudanese border with almost 90% in Sudan and 10% in Egypt. Studies indicate that between 1964 and 2000, approximately 3.7 Bm3 of sediments have deposited in the Aswan High dam reservoir. Authors explain how these rich sediments can be mined using modern lake mining techniques.
