Abstract

A Hydrological model consists of simplification of reality involving transformation of rainfall and evaporation as input giving runoff as output when catchment is represented as series of interlinked processes and storages. Modelling involves hydrological storages like reservoirs for which water budgets are kept, i.e., total capacity and actual content of the reservoirs and hydrological processes which comprises transfer of water from one storage to the other involving mathematical description of logical rules and equations.
