125. Improving Ponds in Punjab

(New World Water, 2004, pp. 16–22).

Abstract

Deteriorating water quality in the ponds of many of India's villages is threatening to spread water-borne diseases, making a central part of village life dangerous. Treatment wetlands appear to provide a sustainable and culturally sympathetic solution.
