In this paper system for control of irrigation is presented. Aim of the control system is to restrict unauthorized usage of the water from the hydro-systems, which is very frequent among farmers in the Republic of Macedonia. The system for control of irrigation is composed of one heavy-duty terminal, central computer, software and solenoid valves located at user hydrants. Main characteristics of the proposed system are robustness, simplicity and low cost. Details of the structure and functioning of this system are explained in the paper. Initial positive results of the pilot functioning give hope that implementation of the full scale system could be very efficient tool for sustainability of the hydro-systems in the country as well as worldwide at irrigation systems with similar problems.
