Abstract

Developing Hydro Projects on fast track basis and also in view of increasing Interest Component on the projects, there is a need to have improvement in techniques of excavation and deployment of proper equipment leading to saving time and cost on excavation. As a developer, the concern is to build the project at the least cost and time but not sacrificing quality of work. Present case study describes in detail the methods of drilling and blasting, use of and change of equipment with the change in excavation methodology and certain innovative modifications in the drilling techniques.
