The study was conducted in the central part of India located at 23o8’–26o30’ latitude and 78o11’–81o30’E longitude the Bundelkhand region of India. The results revealed that the farmers and farm women were verymuch known to the effect of waterlogging as 100% known to that wet lands and waterlogging is very much essential in day to day life. They also explain that wetlands for the supply of water to the human as well as livestocks. In the survey area 90% farmers and farm women were known that waterlogging damage the root system, reduce soil aeration, oxygen supply to root system. Farmers and farm women known to that the humidity of the entire area increased (80%), reduce leaf area, growth and final biomass production of crops (76%) and salts brought to the upper soil layers (70%). However, 30% farmers and farm women known that the soil temperature get reduced, further 20% were only aware that wet lands build up carbon dioxide, ethane, propane etc. Lack of finance for the ouechase of agricultural implements (92%), lack of risk bearing attitude (85%), lack of information about new implements and production technology (70%) are some of the major constraints in adoption of soil conservation practices in waterlogged areas of India.
