NDPL in just five years is setting benchmarks for the Energy industry as a community and environmentally conscious organisation. It has introduced a number of unique initiatives recently, including Urja, the Energy Club, Megawatt Smite, Bamboo Plantation, a SMS based fault management system and GSM based street lighting. NDPL was rewarded for its innovative community and environment approach by winning a host of awards recently including Power Utility of the Year Apart at the Asian Power Awards 2007. PCQuest Best Information Technology Implementation Award 2007, Intelligent Enterprise Award and the Most Admired Organisation in the Joint Sector/Private Sector award.
