Lakes and water bodies attract practically every one and have phenomenal potential to be developed as tourist destination. Which eventually calls for infrastructures development, water and born activities and making of resorts in and around the water body, huge small depending upon the area ofthe water front and available surrounding land. This may cause a great pressure on the lake even threatening its existence and raising the pollution of the water significantly. So far no serious study has been made to formally illustratethe nature of water borne equipment, suitable infrastructures and the lay down upper limit for the equipment and water born activities. In the absence of any significant studies and data, many times harsh decisions have been taken by the authorities either to shut down activities in total or just ignore it fully resulting in dashes between various departments and also the awakened people. In this paper attempt has been made to standardize the scope of infrastructure developments, compulsion of measurement of various parameters and lay down the upper limit of the exploitation of the water front. An effort also has been made to suggest that how the entire process can be brought under the jurisprudence to have an effective control and regulate the activities, not to diminish it, before it is too late and reaches point.
