Abstract

The paper outlines an advanced application of the Electrical Analogy Method, which is usually applied to potential flow problems concerning groundwater flow, to problems of seepage flow of water where steady irrotational motion exists such as flow in a sluice. The pressures in a sluice of a canal regulator have been investigated for testing the design of the inlet curves of the sluice. The results of pressures were compared with those obtained by the Hydrodynamic method and were found to be well in agreement within 0 to 2.5 per cent.
