In this paper the Slip Circle Method for analysing the stability of an embankment slope to include seismic forces has been presented. Simplified expressions for the factor of safety under seismic conditions have been derived. Analysis of forces under non-seismic and seismic conditions have been discussed. Sample computations have been included to illustrate the method of analysis.
