A systematic method for the calculations of the sequence impedances for the transmission networks has been developed by the method of Symmetrical Components. No assumption has been made in this development for finding out the sequence components. Nor has any factor been assumed for the calculations of the zero sequence impedance.
The various impedances for all the cases have been presented in the matrix form and the final results have been presented in a tabular form.
Six cases of transmission system have been independently treated viz., (i) Single circuit transmission with no ground wire, (ii) single circuit with one ground wire, (iii) single circuit with two ground wires, (iv) double circuit with no ground wire, (v) double circuit with one ground wire and (vi) double circuit with two ground wires.
