[In thispaper the author questions the validity of some of the assumptions as well as inferences drawn in the C.B.I. & P.Publication ‘Silting of Reservoirs’. The opinions expressed here are author’s own and the ‘Irrigation & Power’ does not accept responsibility for his statements. It is, however, a fact that recent observations on sedimentation in reservoirs indicate rates that are considerably higher than the assumed ones.
