The calculation of system currents and voltages throughout the network in a power system is necessary to analyse the performance of protective devices during simultaneous faults in the power system. The application of R, S and T components is very useful in obtaining simple solutions for all cases of simultaneous faults. In this paper solutions for two cases of simultaneous faults arc illustrated.
