Experimental vibration studies ivere carried out at the turbo-generator foundation (Unit No. 6) during the operation of balancing of ihe machine before commissioning it to take up the load, in order to assess the effect of eccentricity and speed of the machine on the vibration intensities and frequencies. Following Barkan, approximate theoretical computations are made for the amplitude of vibrations under the experimental conditions.
