Abstract

Relationships between various characteristics of submerged hydraulic jump in trapezoidal channels have been derived analytically and verified experimentally. Some of the observations in the experiment are described qualitatively because of the difficulty in yetting reliable and consistent experimental values. In addition some experimental values on the free hydraulic jump in trapezoidal channels are presented which would be a useful addition to the already available data.
