Abstract

A computational study of the Direct Slept Method in gradually varied flow is made. The effect of the number of equal steps on the accuracy of M1 end-M2 backwater curves are investigated. Also, the relative effect of choosing one of the two available methods of calculating the friction slope on the length of the backwater curve is studied.
