The problem of vibrations of hydraulic turbines in operation requires investigation when the magnitude becomes objectionable.
The object of this paper is to highlight these problems from experience of Hydro Stations and the method of approach made to deal these problems in the field and laboratory. Theoretical investigations carried so far on these problems and the modifications in onr design to check objectionable vibrations are also described.
