Abstract

The privatisation of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) is the largest exercise that has been conducted by the Malaysian Government. Noticeably the public followed the privatisation exercise with keen interest and responded overwhelmingly to the TNB's shares offer. With the listing of TNB's shares in the KLSE on, 28 May 1992, its transformation from a statutory body to a listed company is complete. This paper deals with how the privatisation was carried out.
