Resistance of coarse sediment beds

Available river and laboratory data on the hydraulic resistance of streams with coarse bed material have been used to check the accuracy of several existing methods For the prediction of resistance in such channels. Following the conclusion from such a check that there is need to develop a new relationship of more desirable accuracy, the data have been analysed to develop a new resistance relationship covering a wide range of pertinent variables.
