Y. N. Apparao presently Chairman & Managing Director of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (formrely Nathpa Jhakri Power Corporation Ltd.), did his B.E. (Civil) from Andhra University, P.G.D. (Water Resource) from University of Roorkee and M.e. (Hydro Power) from University of Roorkee. He has a long and varied experience of 35 years in different Hydro-power sectors namely Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. (Since march-2000), National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd. (for 23 Yrs.) and Central Water & Power Commission and has been instrumental in commissioning of many hydroelectric projects. His area of specialization is Corporate Governnance, Project Management, Design & Engineering, Construction, International Contracting & Procurement etc. of Hydro Electric Projects. He has many national & international papers to his credit. He is also Faculty Member for National Power Training Institute on Power Managemnt and fFaculty for Delhi Productivity Council on Project Management & Contract Management.
