The current study deals the quality of lake water upon seasonal variations with regards to various parameters like temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, conductivity, total dissolved solids, suspended solids, turbidity, sulphate, total phosphate, total nitrogen and micronutrient content. The study was initiated during dry and rainy seasons of Southern Ethiopia. Results of the study were found to be fluctuations with seasonal investigation. Pearson correlation coefficient showed positive and negative relationships among the parameters. Thus the study reveals that the water quality is rich in dissolved solids, phosphate and nitrate contents which indicate that of Chamo Lake water located in Arba Minch, Ethiopia might be considered as fit for drinking and agricultural irrigation.
