Instrumentation data of dams helps to determine the behaviour of dams after its completion. Vast number of instruments has been provided in Indira Sagar dam to study its structural response. The reservoir of Indira Sagar project is still to be filled up to its full reservoir level and the instrumentation data is being monitored regularly. This papers highlights the various instruments provided in the dam.
