Indira Sagar project is a mega project having 1000 MW installed capacity. The implementation of the project was planned not on turn-key basis but different agencies were fixed for different E&M equipments/systems. This article deals with various equipments supplied and erected by various agencies. The design aspects highlighting various salient features of the equipments are narrated to generally give acquaintances about the various system/E&M equipments. The packages were designed grouped together for speedy implementation but to bring down the cost, efforts were made in general to procure equipments from the source/manufacturer.
