Auxiliary equipments of Indira Sagar Hydroelectric Project

Auxiliary equipment are the life line of any power plant. Indira Sagar project (ISP) being a multipurpose mega hydro project having 1000 (8x125) MW installed capacity, various auxiliary equipments have been put in to service in such a way that gives a hydro power plant very reliable operation and optimum generation. This paper looks in to auxiliary systems of ISP, which combined are responsible for running this 1000 MW hydro power plant successfully and serving the power need of a power starved state MP.
