Indira Sagar project is a mega project having installed capacity of 1000 MW. The implementation of work of 400 kV switchyard was planned on turnkey basis in phased manner to cope with the commissioning of generating units of ISP. The article deals with the various aspects of 400 kV switchyard of ISP highlighting the salient feature of equipments and installation.
