Integrated Reservoir Management System for the Pandoh Dam and Other Hydro Electric Projects in the Catchment of the River Beas

The purpose of integrated reservoir system for Pandoh dam is to achieve the optimization of Water Resources in the catchment of river Beas. This can be achieved through coordination with other Hydro Electric Projects, both existing as well as upcoming, In the Beas Catchment. The benefit of obtaining accurate data of inflows in the Beas Catchment area and weather forecast for each project station in the catchment area of the river Beas upstream of the Pandoh dam on real time basis is that the gradual release of water during large inflows can be ensured in advance for the safety of the people & property on the downstream side of Pandoh dam.
