Abstract

The aim of the study is to perceive the technical merits and challenges in establishment of solar PV projects in the Himalayan states over the plain areas and adverse effects challenging the insertion of such leading technology. The paper technically addresses the comparison between plains and hills to crystallize the dilemma of the developers and investors to invest in solar projects in these regions. The study is outgrown on the various technical parameters, softwares and on-site experiences which pivotally manifest the technical feasibility requirement of solar projects in the hilly areas.
