Abstract

Electricity is one of the basic demands of the modern times. The demand and consumption of electricity is increasing with advancement in technology. It is required to generate, transmit and distribute the electricity in the best possible way with minimal losses. Transformer is one of the crucial components in the power system. It performs the function of changing the voltage levels of the alternating current keeping the power constant ideally. since, the power is generated by a three phase generator, we need three phase transformers in our system.

This article provides information about construction of three phase transformer, its types, connections and phasors and the conditions for parallel operation of transformer.
