Abstract

As the world increasingly embraces sustainable transportation, India has emerged as a key player in the electric mobility revolution. This paper aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the EV ecosystem, covering various aspects such as government initiatives, charging infrastructure, vehicle manufacturers, battery technologies, and the role of startups. The paper examines the government's role in promoting electric mobility through policies, incentives, and regulatory frameworks. We discuss key initiatives such as the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme and the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP). Charging infrastructure is a crucial component of the EV ecosystem. The paper explores the current state of EV infrastructure in India, the challenges involved, and the initiatives being taken to expand the network.
