Abstract

This research article shows harmonics mitigation caused by nonlinear load with the help of Adaptive Autarchoglossans Lizard Foraging (AALF) optimized PI controller, used in Enhanced Phase Lock Loop (EPLL) controlled Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF). The time domain approach has been implemented for reference current generation for gating signal of SAPF, it is carried out by positive sequence detection method used by Enhanced Phase Lock Loop. DC link voltage is regulated using Adaptive Autarchoglossans Lizard Foraging (AALF) optimized PI controller. SAPF have IGBT based PWM switch. The result obtained from the proposed technique are compared with PSO optimized PI controller and without optimized PI controller based EPLL controlled SAPF, the main key performance aspect discussed in this paper are shown by simulation result that are reduction in harmonic content, improved power quality.
