Abstract

The paper discusses the concept of Agrophotovoltaics and the corresponding research on the subject. There are multiple facets to studying a new concept, in view of the same the concept of the agrophotovoltaics has been studied with respect to its relevance, its performance, the design consideration of the system and implementation mechanisms. The research on the subject establishes its relevance in changing priorities & needs and also its financial performance. It also indicates some key considerations to be ensured while designing the systems. However, there is a need for recommendations with respect to the crops suitable for APV in different geographies and the suitable deployment models for implementation.
