Wind energy – an introduction

In the last 60 years of Independence, India has shown remarkable progress. From a grossly underfed and underdeveloped country in earlier days, India has emerged as a strong economy, inspite of growing population and vagaries of monsoon, international boundary disputes and associate problems. Developments of basic infrastructure like power, communication, transport, aviation, shipping, roads and education have transformed the country in a reckoning position. The five year plans have given importance and priorities to all the aspects of growth and progress as the needs demanded.
